About

Built by a comic seller, for comic sellers

eComicIQ isn't a VC-backed platform with a comics feature bolted on. It's one seller's fix for a problem every comic seller knows.

Billy Walls, founder of eComicIQ, at San Diego Comic-Con

I'm Billy Walls. A couple years ago, I got back into collecting comics and, honestly, I bought way too many.

Every time I found a good deal, I'd tell myself, "I'll sell these eventually." Well, eventually came.

Once I started selling on Whatnot and eBay, I realized what I had gotten myself into. For every comic, I had to figure out the title and issue, look up what it was worth, enter all the details, take the photos, write the listing, and then do it all over again for the next book.

Then someone on eBay would ask for more pictures, so I'd have to find the comic again, pull it out, take more photos, and upload those too.

I could easily spend 15 minutes on a single comic just getting it ready to sell.

That's why I built eComicIQ.

I originally built it for myself. I wanted to point my phone at a stack of comics and have the tedious part handled for me. eComicIQ identifies the comic, pulls the important details, checks current eBay pricing, captures the images, and gives me what I need to get those books listed on Whatnot or eBay.

What used to take me 15 minutes per comic now takes me about 15 minutes for an entire short box.

And I stand behind that. If you can't scan a short box of comics in under 15 minutes with eComicIQ, I'll refund your money.

I still sell comics myself on Whatnot, and I also run ussellersync.com, so this isn't something I built from the outside looking in. I built it because I had the exact same problem.

I will say, the biggest thing about collecting comics is the community. I absolutely love this community of people who, for the most part, genuinely look out for each other.

So if you use eComicIQ and ever have a problem, a question, or even an idea for something you think would make it better, please reach out. I'm right here.

I built eComicIQ for myself first, I use it myself, and I personally stand behind it.
