How to list comics on Whatnot fast

Listing by hand costs most Whatnot comic sellers an hour per ten books. Here is the workflow that removes the typing.

Why listing is the slow part

For every comic you need the series title, issue number, year, publisher, a price you can defend, and several clear photos. Typing that for each book is where the hours go, long before you go live.

The fast workflow

  1. Sort the stack first. Group by series or by price tier so you can scan in one pass.
  2. Photograph each book once. A phone on a stand, one cover per shot. A tool that also takes corner photos saves a second pass for condition shots.
  3. Let the tool read the cover. Title, issue, year and publisher should fill in automatically. You only fix the exceptions.
  4. Price from current listings. Check a range built from recent comparable listings, not a book value from years ago.
  5. Export one file. Whatnot accepts a bulk-import spreadsheet, so a whole show's inventory goes in at once.

Where eComicIQ fits

eComicIQ does steps 2 through 5 from your phone's browser. It reads the cover, pulls pricing from live eBay listings, takes the cover plus four corner photos, and builds a Whatnot-ready CSV. It takes about 3 seconds per book, and it costs $15.99 a month for unlimited scans.

Honest limits: art-only covers with no printed title sometimes need you to type the title, and graded (CGC/CBCS) slabs are not what it is built for.

Questions

How many comics can I list on Whatnot at once?

Whatnot supports bulk imports from a spreadsheet, so you can load a full stack in one upload rather than one listing at a time. eComicIQ builds that spreadsheet for you.

Do I need to install an app?

No. eComicIQ runs in your phone's browser on iPhone and Android, so there is nothing to install.

Is there a free trial?

No. Every scan runs a live lookup, which costs real money per book, so the product is priced at $15.99 a month for unlimited scans and you can cancel any time.
